Built in 1973, the Missouri S&T Observatory with its 16-inch telescope is located at 1550 N. Bishop Ave. (Highway 63 North), adjacent to the university’s Stonehenge replica, north of McNutt Hall and west of St. Patrick’s Lane.
Public viewing nights are hosted several times each semester. All are welcome to our events. We ask that all children are accompanied by an adult. Those wishing to view the object through the telescope must climb a short set of stairs. Keep in mind that the sky must be clear for observing. Please check on social media for updates.
